At the end of October, an inspection took place of the heating system modernization facility in Nizhyn, implemented with the support of NEFCO under the European Union's Green Recovery Programme.
Following the inspection, on most sections the replacement of existing underground and above-ground pipelines has been completed, as well as the laying of new underground heating networks. The work covers various sections of the networks near residential buildings and boiler houses on Akademika Amosova, Stanislava Proshchenka, Redkinska and Berezanska streets.
In the period from 17 to 24 October, the contractor resumed work and focused on eliminating remarks from technical supervision and restoring the road surface of the pedestrian path on the territory of the hospital complex.
At the same time, work on an additional section of the heating network has not yet been completed. Its completion remains an important stage in the further implementation of the project.
The modernization of the thermal infrastructure aims to improve heating supply reliability, reduce heat losses, and use resources more energy-efficiently. This is an important step toward strengthening the resilience of municipal infrastructure and improving the quality of services for residents of the Nizhyn community.
We thank the European Union and NEFCO for supporting the restoration and modernization of critical infrastructure in our city.
The project is supported by the European Union under the Green Recovery Programme. The donor's partner is the Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO).
